Cement Tile Connects Old with New at Redbird Restaurant

LA designer Robert Weimer sought out Avente Tile to create a custom floor for this restuarant in Los Angeles, CA. Expanding on an original picket design found in the original Cathedral of St. Vibiana, he developed the theme working with concrete, a dark charcoal color and large scale to match the digs new purpose as a restuarant. Robert noted that, "There is a tile pattern in the building that is original so I decided to use that but to really increase it to a much larger scale."

Choosing their own color palette and working with our classic Bayahibe pattern, this Oakland, California customer really added some pizazz to this room. After purchasing a Heritage Color Chip set, the customer was able to finalize the blue, brown and neutral colors that worked best for them. Working with high contrast colors on a neutral background, a visually bold look is maintained that gets your attention. The rug takes up most of the living space in this room.
